Smoothies Galore!

Two years ago I am not sure I had ever made a smoothie at home… and now I don’t go more than a couple days without one! I even find myself slurping them down in the middle of winter – and I am always cold so it speaks to my addiction. Because of this addiction I wanted to share my favorites, some of these are already on here but its always good to see them again! All recipe instructions are the same – all ingredients into your blender and voila!

Green Monster – No I promise you will NOT taste the spinach!

2-3 cups of spinach

1 frozen banana

15g of protein – your choice

5g of flaxseed

1T (natural) peanut butter

1 cup almond milk

Peanut Butter Coffee Shake Love this pick me up on a hot afternoon!

1 frozen banana

1 cup almond milk (vanilla or chocolate)

1 Starbucks VIA packet

1T (natural) peanut butter (this can be omitted for just a coffee shake)

Strawberry-Banana Smoothie – Enjoy in glass or bowl form, my favorite is in a bowl topped with chopped strawberries and granola or Multigrain Cheerios.

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 cup almond milk

15g of protein – I use vanilla

5g of flaxseed

Choco-Cherry Smoothie Bowl or glass form! I (secretly) top mine with chocolate Cheerios!

½ frozen banana

1 cup frozen pitted cherries

1 cup almond milk

1T flax or chia seeds

15g chocolate protein or Vega Shake & Go Smoothie mix

2T raw oats

PB&J Smoothie

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 cup almond milk

1T (natural) peanut butter

5g flaxseed

As see all my smoothies contain frozen bananas, this is because I a- love them but b- they make the smoothies creamy. I buy over ripe bananas then peel and freeze them so that I always have a good stock. Oh, and I almost always use unsweetened vanilla almond milk J
