Foodie Friday

From our week…

I am pretty sure both my spin teach Wednesday and yoga teacher Thursday tried to break me. Needless to say today was a rest day 😉

Avery and I working out Tuesday night. She asked to stay up a little so I had to workout with me, she lasted 10 minutes and went to bed 😉

I chopped my hair off!

Chad tried to tell me Chloe was dressed like a boy one day so I put her in a purple cardigan:

Like Avery she is always mistaken for a boy, I swear unless they are wearing pink with bows in the hair people think they are boys.

We spent some time outside yesterday after work since it was so nice out, Avery was not sure about puddles at first but then got into it:

Chloe is so crazy before bed, it makes story time interesting these days 😉

Saturday – Chicken Fajitas

Sunday – Chipotle Sweet Potato Turkey Burgers (Well Plated by Erin) & salad

Monday – Thai Peanut Chicken Quinoa Bowls – Iowa Girl Eats (using shrimp instead)

Tuesday – Pineapple Glazed Salmon (Well Plated by Erin), roasted broccoli & rice

Wednesday – Breakfast for supper! Pancakes, turkey bacon & fruit

Thursday – Easy Lo Mein – Damn Delicious 

Friday – Pesto Chicken Pizza

Not too many weekend plans, hopefully some time spent outside in the sun, taking Avery to yoga and the usual weekend chores and errands.


Foodie Friday

Between it being the first week back after holidays and a darn cold week this week went by so slow. Seriously though – enough snow and winter!

Chloe has been fighting something or teething or…who knows what for two weeks. Yesterday she got worse with a fever so I picked up the girls early and we hung out at home for the afternoon. Other than that we had a quiet week, Chloe had a doctors appointment and is doing great, she also learned how to open all cupboards and drawers and loves to pull out everything!

Avery has been picking out her own clothes when I say I am buying things online and I am for the most part buying what she shows me, and I have to say sometimes I am not sure but then she puts them on and they suit her! Like this shirt:

Yesterday we made Mini Egg cookies, I had some I wanted gone so we used them in cookies:

And me? I got to a spin and yoga class this week! I am taking advantage of the next few months with no big race until August to do more more classes.

This weekend we are hosting my Grandma’s (80th) birthday and that is about all we have planned!



Foodie Friday

Such a cold week, but the weekend (and today) is looking a lot better thankfully. I did not take a lot of photos this week, turns out I only took two – ha

Avery became puzzle-obsessed overnight.

Meal planning, with holidays approaching it is time to clear out the fridge!

This weekend we have our community hockey tournament so tomorrow will spend the day there helping out etc. Sunday is our last long run of this training cycle!! Remind me not to train for winter races next time 😉 Luckily we have had some good weekend weather for running.


Foodie Friday

This was a rough week around our house. Avery’s fever spiked Monday again but luckily without any symptoms besides just not being herself. Then Monday Chad and I started to get sick and have battled colds every since. I am hoping mine is almost gone now, I have been in bed before 9pm every night!

These two crack me up. Chloe wants everything Avery has and Avery wants Chloe to have nothing. Now that Chloe can walk along furniture and pull herself up and stand alone this is quite funny to watch. Chloe takes things of Avery’s then waits for her to see before she bolts and tries to hide it.

I went to yoga at lunch yesterday and needed some photos (something Chad is doing at work – I really am not sure!) so asked the teacher to take some.

I am pretty sure she aims to make us as sweaty as possible in 50 minutes 😉 Though it is the best class and I look forward to it every week now!

Meal planning. With holidays coming up soon I am going to start using up food in the house which means more thinking when it comes to meal planning!

I am hoping this weekend is full of rest for us so that nobody else gets sick & Sunday we are having people over for Superbowl which I actually love, ok, I love the food and commercials 😉


Foodie Friday

These weeks are flying by and for now I am not complaining, every week closer to spring we are = happy Lindsey 😉

I ran 4 days this week! I mean who am I?! Usually this would exhaust me but I am feeling pretty good about it these days. Yoga helps me a ton now that I am back there as well. And watching Fuller House while running helps too!

The girls had a good week, a couple cranky evenings but that is bound to happen!

This weekend is supposed to be beautiful so we will be outside as much as we can, and we also are going to a kid’s play with Becky and Liam Saturday 🙂
