Foodie Friday

These weeks are flying by and for now I am not complaining, every week closer to spring we are = happy Lindsey 😉

I ran 4 days this week! I mean who am I?! Usually this would exhaust me but I am feeling pretty good about it these days. Yoga helps me a ton now that I am back there as well. And watching Fuller House while running helps too!

The girls had a good week, a couple cranky evenings but that is bound to happen!

Onto meal planning…I finally bought myself a new cookbook, Run Fast. Eat Slow so this week is a few recipes from there.

Saturday – Burst Cherry Tomato Linguine with Shrimp –Run Fast. Eat Slow

Sunday – Recovery Quinoa Salad & grilled chicken –Run Fast. Eat Slow

Monday – Gimme Veggies Fried Rice – Run Fast. Eat Slow

Tuesday – Pesto grilled cheese & soup

Wednesday – Sweet Potato & Black Bean Quesadillas – Kim’s Cravings

Thursday – Chicken Pesto Bowls – Damn Delicious 

Friday – Copycat Panera Apple Chicken Salad – Kim’s Cravings

This weekend is supposed to be beautiful so we will be outside as much as we can, and we also are going to a kid’s play with Becky and Liam Saturday 🙂

Foodie Friday

A few highlights of our week before meal planning:

1- I got in some great workouts this week, a spin class, lunch yoga class, 9 miles of running nad Hard Corps! Of course most went un-pictured.

5 mile run while watching Fuller House – which is not as corny as I thought it would be.

2 – Chloe had her monthly appointment and at 9 months her and Avery are the exact same weight and length! She moved up another curve and we talked about her issues with dairy and the next steps. For now, I am just happy she is not puking!

Clearly she hates the doctors 😉

3 – Our PVR quit working (it was 10 years old) last week so we have not been watching much TV – but evenings seem so much more productive and meaningful now! We did buy a new one though so now I am hoping we can cut down on the shows we watch.

Sunday – Turkey burgers (freezer) & salad

Monday – Slowcooker Chicken Noodle soup (Cooking Classy) & biscuits

Tuesday – Turkey Tacos – Kim’s Cravings 

Wednesday – Sweet Potato Black Bean Quinoa Bowls – Recipe Runner

Thursday – Roasted Baby Potatoes, Chicken Fingers and Greek Salad

Friday – Tuna Casserole

We have a busy weekend ahead, it is watch week for Avery’s dance class, having some family over Saturday, then one of my best friend’s baby shower Sunday that I have been planning.

Foodie Friday

I survived my first week back at work! And guess what? It was awesome, being back this week confirmed going back at this time was perfect for us all. The girls have had zero issues adjusting to dayhome which I am beyond thankful for and it shows how they are both social butterflies. No tears have been shed, except when I want to take Avery home 😉

I worked out every day, from 5am workouts, yoga classes at lunch and runs after the girls went to bed:

My favourite part of our days is when we all get into our bed and read bedtime stories. It is usually crazy but so, so important to us to have that time together every night 🙂

We have a quiet weekend ahead, and the weather looks to be really nice so I am hoping to get outside a few times 🙂

Foodie Friday

This week I had a decent to do list, with the girls at dayhome for part days I wanted to tackle everything before I head back to work Monday.

On my to do list:

  • Attend one fitness class
  • Wash all bedding
  • Bake cookies and muffins
  • Make 3-4 freezer meals
  • Work on Chloe’s (Mixbook) baby book
  • Prep some blog posts
  • Take in toys to Once Upon a Child
  • Clean out the junk drawer
  • Get my oil changed
  • Work on planning my best friend’s baby shower

I did pretty good! I got everything done plus some good (and quiet!) runs in 🙂

The girls had a great first week, Chloe did especially well being her first time away from me for more than a few hours. Avery was just mad when I came to pick them up 😉 Rough life kid.

Foodie Friday

Well it is my last post of 2016. I really have no idea where this year went! This week was short and we spent the last few days enjoying being outside since the weather has been good. It is also bittersweet as Tuesday the girls start dayhome! Crazy. I am so ready to go back to work, but am also worried about Chloe adjusting to dayhome. Anyways here are some photos from our week:

Avery tried skating for the first time. I bought the bob skates that attach to boots for a couple reasons – one, they are $12 vs $40 and I was not spending $40 for her to hate skating. Two, she can keep her feet in boots, much warmer than skates and lastly, with real skates Avery would fall once and she would be done. I told her once she can do a lap with these skates she can get princess ones 😉

The first time did not go great as she refused to dress warm:

I am so happy we have this double sled, it has been put to good use lately! We also saw some calf moose on our walk!
