Toddler Girl – Fall Fashion

This post is not for everyone but I have to share some of the outfits Avery will be sporting this fall. Fall is by far my favourite season for many reasons, the clothes included. I am actually pretty jealous of many of Avery’s fall clothes – I want them in my size!!

Mustard yellow is one of my favourite fall clothes, so this cardigan from Old Navy was a must. Stripped swing shirt is also Old Navy and jeggings are Levis. Which are the BEST pants we own for Avery. I have been looking for a second hand pair in the next size since new they are not cheap (these were a gift).

This is a sweater I am jealous of. The colour is not ideal for a toddler but she can wear it on special occasions. It is just so cozy looking. This whole outfit is Old Navy and probably my favourite fall outfit Avery has. Now to convince her to wear the shoes!

Avery wore this Gap dress for my birthday brunch Sunday and loved it – win! I paired it with navy tights and a scarf we got last year from Urban Cowgirl.

A chambray shirt is a must have for fall no matter how old you are! This one I picked up for a steal at Target before they closed. I paired it with Lookie Loo leggings.

Another cozy fall sweater I am jealous of. I dress Avery a lot like myself, so of course a oversized sweater is paired with skinny jeans (Joe). Sweater is Old Navy – I paid $5 for it!

Earlier this year I took advantage of winter clearout at Gap online, paying on average $6-8 a piece. This sweater was one of those purchases. The boots are Nooks which I am beyond obsessed with. Avery had a pair last year as well. I do not think these will last her all winter though 🙁

Both of these items were online sales from Gap, a plaid vest is a must for fall, and I admit I am looking for one now too!

This chambray vest I fell in love with and had to pick up for Avery a few weeks ago. It completes a simple outfit of black leggings and long sleeved Joe top. Also shown are Avery’s newest Minimoc shoes which we all love!

What is your favourite fall clothing item? Favourite fall colour?

I would kill myself for saying this a couple years ago but I love burgundy! My must have fall clothing item is a good pair of riding boots to go with leggings and skinny jeans.

Foodie Friday

Friday!! This week actually felt a bit longer than the last couple. I have been on the tired side which does not help, it is a shock if I am still awake at 9pm.

Did I ever mention I joined a book club? I am pretty cool. I want to read more and knew this would get me into reading more but I got behind this week, and not have 10 chapters to read in less than a week. Oh boy. See, going to bed ta 9pm basically cuts out my reading time which usually would be between 9-10pm so I might need a new plan…

Want to know what else I do NOT do during the week now? Take photos. I blame the fact that we leave to work in the dark and get home in the dark and are left with bad lighting. I do manage to get some Instagram photos up though if anyone wants to see our smiling (or not) faces Smile

Now that I am feeling all over the place with this post I will move onto meal planning for the next week:

Saturday – Crockpot Maple Dijon Chicken (Skinny Taste) & Asparagus and Potato Salad (Oh She Glows)

Sunday – Birthday Party for a friend’s little girl

Monday – Slow cooker Thai Chicken Soup –(foodie crush)

Tuesday – Tuna wraps & sweet potato fries

Wednesday – Gourmet mac & cheese

Thursday – Baked Honey Lime Taquitos (Six Sisters’ Stuff)

Friday – Chicken Quinoa Chili – (freezer meal since I am at a event that night so Chad and Avery are on their own!)

I basically now refuse to spend more than 30 minutes cooking supper during the week which can make meal planning challenging. So if you have quick ideas send them my way!

Weekend plans? I feel like we are entering the holiday season starting this weekend. Saturday we are going “festival lights the night” downtown where they have ice sculptures, light City Hall park and other things, Sunday I am going to a Christmas craft sale with my Mom and then we have the birthday party that evening.

Have a great weekend and make sure to get in your entries for my holiday gift guide giveaway with Urban Cowgirl and Modern B Boutique. Both are awesome local shops you will LOVE!

Urban Cowgirl Infinity Scarves. To keep warm this winter while looking fashionable infinity scarves are a must have. Ever since discovering this shop I have been in love and had to practice restraint many times. I already have three of their scarves (and one more on the way!), and Avery also has a scarf. All their fabrics are extremely soft and great quality.

I just ordered the Buffalo Plaid scarf and am patiently awaiting it:

SO perfect for the holiday season!

Barefoot Venus sells a variety of bath and body products. I have come across these products a few times now and every time I grab a new product/scent. My current favourite is the gingerly line. The lotions are not greasy and very hydrating, which is a necessity in this cold, dry weather. If you need something more heavy duty they also carry instant hand repair. Or if you are like me and LOVE your baths they carry a ton of bath products. I already know I have a few of their products coming in my stocking (thanks Mom)!

Now for the EXCITING part, both Modern B Boutique and Urban Cowgirl are giving away goodies for you guys! There will be TWO separate giveaways, and you must leave a comment for each entry.

Modern B Boutique is giving away a $25 store credit! To enter visit their website and leave a comment telling my your favourite piece. For an extra entry follow them on Instagram and leave me a comment telling me you did so (and your IG name).

Urban Cowgirl is giving away one Glasgow Plaid Infinity Scarf! To enter visit their website and leave me a comment telling me your favourite scarf. For an extra entry, like them on Facebook and leave me a comment saying you did so.
