Foodie Friday

Happy Friday! So I failed again this week at taking photos to share things from our week but that is life when we do very little that is exciting Monday-Thursday since it is dark at 7pm now. Instead I will share one thing from my week I really like.

This week it is our morning cuddle time. I do not like to rush in the mornings so we all get up early enough to have some chill time. Usually this means 10-20 minutes of cuddling and watching TV after breakfast. It is one of my favourite times of the day 🙂

Avery is watching the TV – promise she is not that mad at me 😉 And Chloe just loves to smile for my phone camera!

And as I type this I think I might have come down with a fever/flu a few hours ago – I am hoping a good nights sleep keeps it away!

Onto meal planning!

Saturday – PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps – Averie Cooks

Sunday – Slow Cooker Chicken & Dumplings – Budget Bytes

Monday – Pizza night & roasted cauliflower

Tuesday – Simple Mushroom & Broccoli Stir-Fry & smokies – Budget Bytes

Wednesday – Leftovers

Thursday – Shrimp Burrito Bowls

Friday – Ultimate BBQ Chicken Quesadillas – Budget Bytes

Weekend plans include finishing my dresser (maybe!), a trip to a pumpkin patch and hopefully a run outside Sunday morning 🙂

Mmmmm I was eyeing up that chicken and dumplings recipe. Might have to make that.

Love that photo and that you guys take some time to chill in the mornings. Liam just doesn't move quick enough to be able to do that, but every once in awhile if we wakes up before me, he will come snuggle in bed with me. Those are some of my favourite moments.

Maybe a strange question, but how does Avery manage wearing a one-piece sleeper at night now that she’s pottty trainer? My daughter is just night trained over the summer, and now that the weather is colder I’m realizing she can’t wear the sleepers because she can’t unzip them to pee! Maybe Avery doesn’t pee at night? (And how do you manage that?!)

Good question! This is her one and only one piece for that reason really. Typically Avery does not pee at night, she might wake up twice a month to pee at night and still gets me up help her. I try and give her limited liquids after supper and then she goes pee right before bed. I think it takes time for their bladders to develop to hold longer after they are first trained.

Thanks! That is impressive that she doesn't pee all night…I sometimes pee twice! Haha. I guess limiting liquids really is the key. Appreciate the reply! I feel mildly annoyed that her one-piece sleepers are sort of useless now 🙂
