Weekend Recap

Since my brain seems to be drawing a blank right now, jumping into the weekend recap:

I left my run for this day since it was supposed to be really nice. But it turned out windy and cloudy, after Chloe was in bed Avery decided to join me versus watching hockey with Chad. We did a quick 6km:

Running with the BOB is so much nicer than the double stroller!

Since Avery gets to stay up later than Chloe me and Chloe have a morning tradition where we cuddle in bed for 5-10 minutes before we start our day:

We met up with some of Chad’s co-workers to pick garbage for the morning bright and early. It is the annual city clean up so we make sure to do our part. The girls and I spent 90 minutes picking garbage before calling it a day and heading home.

I think Chad said total (about 10 of us) we did 20 bags!

We had lunch before heading to the backyard to play for a bit:

Later on we went to have a BBQ with my family then my Mom, Avery and I headed to a local market. I usually am on top of it and know what vendors are going to be there that I follow on Instagram but did not and was happy to see a few favourites – even if I did not recognize some of the ladies! Mom brain! I promised myself that I would buy myself something and not the girls, which I did and will share later this week 🙂

I did pick up some cookies and this juice for the girls though:

Once Avery was in bed Chad and I watched The Accountant – two thumbs up!

It was not as near as nice as Saturday but keeping with my promise to run outside I went out for a run. About a minute in I regretted my clothing choice of shorts and a t-shirt but decided I would warm up – WRONG. I had a cold head wind and was so cold! No photo since I ran my butt off just to get home!

Our day was spent doing chores, planting out front porch flowers and visiting the SPCA:

And that is a wrap to our weekend!

After getting a sunburn on Saturday, Sunday morning's run seemed extra cold. You guys had a busy weekend. One of these years I will make it to that market. It just always falls when I have Liam and I don't want to take him haha. Love your flowers!

Your flowers look great! Yeah you had some great vendors at that market. Can't wait to see what you bought! YAY for backyard time!! And summer like weather. 🙂

Thanks! Now lets hope they do not freeze 😉 They are in a sheltered area so should be okay 😉
We did! I regret not buying the girls some stuff but they have so much already!

Oh your flowers look great! I'm not much of a gardener, but I think this year I will do potting plants just so Sully can have that experience. Usually I do nothing haha! Looking forward to see what you got for yourself af the market!

I used to have a ton of flowers but stick to the one front planter now since we have the garden in the back. I am hoping this year to teach Avery how to garden so that next year she can do a lot more. haha. Mom hack 😉
