Workout Wednesday

Half way people, but I am sad to say that right now since it is almost the end of July Sad smile

Lately I have been learning to take it easier on myself, I go all out and am busy and then feel like junk from being over tired. So now I am trying to make sure that most nights 9pm I am in bed. So far it seems to be working and I have been able to keep my eyes open in the afternoons.

Yesterday I had my 6 month (can you believe it?!) check-up. All is good, tummy is measuring right on track, and Baby K’s heartbeat was perfect. Next week I have my gestational diabetes test, then one more check on in August before my appointments go to every two weeks versus monthly. I was worried about the test since I thought I had to fast before and fasting these days is NOT a option for me. But nope! I just should not eat anything too heavy or sugary that morning and give the food a couple hours before my test, made me really happy to hear that. The doctor told me she had one patient recently that ate a full sized cinnamon bun on her way to the test, failed and wondered why…. No comment.

Moving on… it is that day where I share my workouts. I am happy to see my run this week has already happened AND went really good. Only a couple more weeks till Mud Hero then after that I might be swapping out running for walking, we will see.

Sunday – Planned gym trip turned into a 4km run and 1km walk since gym did not open…

Monday – Rest

Tuesday – Gym trip – 30 minutes elliptical and triceps/ back

Wednesday – 75 minute prenatal yoga class

Thursday – Gym trip – 30 minutes elliptical and chest/biceps/shoulders

Friday – Gym trip – Treadmill run 9 & 2’s and legs day

Tonight we are off to concert after yoga… Rush. Not my choice 😉 Chad wanted to go so we bought tickets and it might be our last concert for a bit. It had been in Calgary and was cancelled with the floods and moved here so now they are donating all proceeds to the flood relief. Made me feel a tad better about spending the extra money on tickets.

Nothing else is exciting in our lives. A week and a half of work left till holiday time though!

What was the last concert you went to?

Might have been Elton John last April, it has been a while for sure!

I love that you are still going to do Mud Hero! Pregnant obstacle racers unite!

The last concert I went to was Mumford and Sons and it was amazing. I was suppose to go to Bruno Mars last week in Calgary but it got cancelled obviously. I hope that he will reschedule soon, I was really looking forward to it.

Well YOU are my inspiration there! I am sure I will be laughed at lots.
That sucks but hopefully so. I know lots were trying to book other venues but it gets limited too.

Good job getting your run in early this week.

Wow- 6 months already!? I did a different GD test. You eat a well balanced meal an hour before they draw blood- no drinking anything or sitting around waiting. I've heard the drink isn't that bad but I liked that I didn't have to wait around in the waiting room since they rushed me right in to take my blood.

I can't even remember what concert I went to last… it's been that long! Maybe Sugarland at Stampede like 4 years ago? Yah I'm not a big concert goer anymore! I can't stay up that late!

I know! Craziness. I want that test! The waiting won't be fun, I will bring a book or my iPad I guess.
I know I thought about that this morning. Maybe I need to take OT in the morning to sleep in 🙂
